I’m a board-certified psychiatrist caring for patients across Oregon. I studied Neuroscience and Art at Tulane University in the culturally rich city of New Orleans. After graduation, I spent two years doing social work in India and bartending back in New Orleans — experiences that broadened my perspective and deepened my connection to people from all walks of life.
While in India, I worked closely with mothers living with HIV. Their strength and resilience profoundly moved me and ultimately inspired my path into medicine. During medical school, my final rotation took place at a small psychiatric hospital. It was there that I discovered a deep sense of purpose — I knew I had found the field I was meant to be in.
In 2009, I moved to Portland to begin my psychiatry residency at Oregon Health & Science University, followed by fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry. Over the years, my appreciation for the Pacific Northwest has only grown, and I feel incredibly fortunate to call Portland home.
Outside my practice, I provide psychiatric consultation to medical providers across the state via the Oregon Psychiatric Access Line. I enjoy painting, singing karaoke to obscure oldies, and make-believing with my daughter. I live with my geriatric cat, an adorable pup, a sweet daughter, and a supportive partner in SE Portland. We spend our time outside of work seeking small adventures while paying mind to the joy of simpler, quieter moments.
